SPOT GPS

Here is the link to my SPOT GPS shared page. It only shows information that I've sent in the last 7 days. So if it's empty it just means I haven't used it lately but I'm still OK.

Blue Boat. Picture Pines. Fly Fish.

I'm camped at Nickerson State Park at the "elbow" of Cape Cod. ( more precisely the antecubital region). It's a mixed pine forest with a bunch of fresh water lakes. The sun was out any the water warm. I took the sit on top kayak out on the lake and paddled around for awhile and relaxed in the sun. When it got too hot I fell in. This was the first time I've been able to try and sink the boat. I rolled it different ways and practiced getting back it. Normally when I go out I tie the bow line around my ankle so if I fall in the wind won't take it away from me. I had wanted to swim across the lake but being alone I was hesitant (although there where lots if other people at the lake). So with the boat tied to my ankle I swam across the lake. Yeah! It worked great. It didn't affect my kick and followed right along. If I get tired I can jump in the boat to rest or paddle back. (no photos. No waterproof iPhone. )

When I had enough sun I took the motorcycle out for a ride to get a real lease to tie the boat to my ankle. On my way back I toured the park and found a cool forest of pines.

As the sun went down the wind calmed and I finished off the day with some fly fishing. A couple of small (4") trout was enough to call it fun. ( no photos. Need two hands to fish. )
